　　The Opportunity

　　The Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Engineering Technician 8, performs functions requiring advanced knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards, and document control processes/procedures in support of creating or modifying deliverables.

　　In this role you will have the opportunity to:

　　Lead design teams in the development of utility scale solar design projects.

　　Provide technical guidance to other engineering technicians.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　Work closely with civil engineers, technicians, project coordinators, project managers and support staff to produce site plans, detailed engineering drawings, profiles, construction drawings and details for Utility Scale Solar PV systems (50-500MW+)

　　Participate as part of multi-discipline teams including a design engineer (focused on the layout, details, etc.), a system studies engineer, with additional support from Engineering Technicians

　　Support development of early-stage projects with conceptual designs and material take-offs.

　　Support development of initial system conceptual ideas into fully developed optimized EPC designs.

　　Contribute to continual development of internal solar engineering standards, tool sets and work processes.

　　Convert field survey data into topographic survey drawings and surfaces suitable for producing site plans and construction drawings

　　Use Excel spreadsheets, commercial and proprietary engineering software to design Solar PV systems

　　Autodesk Civil 3D

　　Bentley MicroStation Experience 2D/3D

　　Excellent problem-solving skills

　　PLS-CADD

　　Overhead Transmission experience

　　Minimum Qualifications
