Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our Water group in the West Palm Beach, FL office. As a Water Resources Engineer, you will work with our local team on water resources projects related to but not limited to any of the following: hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater infrastructure projects, stormwater master plans, municipal water resources projects; resiliency projects, vulnerability assessments, environmental permitting, or analysis and design of stormwater for site development or neighborhood drainage systems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling
Use of GIS tools to support modeling and preparation of graphics for reports and presentations
Preparing working drawings, plans, cost estimates, studies, reports, and other work products
Analysis and design of stormwater drainage systems, hydraulic structures, and neighborhood roadway drainage systems
Preparing permit applications and review of permit applications for regional water control districts
Planning level engineering studies and reports
Present design solutions to AECOM project teams
Must be capable of performing independent technical tasks
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
BS in Civil, Water Resources or Environmental Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPreferred Qualifications
Three (3) years or more of relevant work experience with stormwater management, design and permitting using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (AdICPR version 4, SWMM; HEC HMS/RAS
Strong analytical and computation skills to interpret data and modeling results
Knowledge of civil engineering design principles
EI with ability to become Licensed or Registered as a Professional Engineer in FL within 4 years
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Offered rate of compensation (FL locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location The salary range for this position typically is $70,000-90,000 AECOM is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits program to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
