job summary:
Innovative energy R&D company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Cerritos, CA. This position will be part of an exciting team that is designing new and existing products. Qualified candidates will have a 5+ years of experience in an electrical engineer role within a manufacturing/industrial environment. responsibilities:
Owns and optimizes the design, performance and durability of the main power delivery system
Owns and optimizes the design, performance, and durability of the ancillary equipment
Support the team in research and development efforts for new products or improvements to existing products
Work with experts to validate the electrical systems design for present and future products
Train and support production team on product assembly process
Document electrical systems configuration and user guides and procedures
Develop and document test set ups and procedures
Work with supplier to optimize power electronics and motor designs
Develop and champion electrical safety best practices for the company
Qualifications
Hands-on setup, operation, and troubleshooting of complex industrial automation systems
Power electronic and controls troubleshooting experience
PLC & industrial communication protocols knowledge
