　　The opportunity

　　We have an opportunity for a Level 3 Apprentice Civil Engineer to start in Summer/Autumn 2024. You will be based in our Taunton office (Taunton,United Kingdom (stantec.com)) and would be joining a team of around 15 Engineers, ranging from Technicians to Senior Engineers.

　　On our Civil Engineering apprenticeship, you will get involved in the design of highways and residential development projects, whilst learning how to use relevant software and programs such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) which help produce drawings for construction. Our projects include a mix of public and private sector schemes, including some significant development, infrastructure, and regeneration projects - promoting growth in both residential and commercial markets. You will also get the opportunity to enhance your technical skills such as producing calculations and report writing, that help our clients to make informed decisions.

　　Our apprenticeships allow you to earn whilst you learn as you study for an academic qualification. You’ll get the chance to expand your knowledge by attending college on day release. You will complete the Civil Engineering Apprenticeship Level 3 course at Bridgwater & Taunton College.

　　About you

　　For our apprenticeships no previous experience is required If you are self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn then this could be for you.

　　Qualifications:

　　For a Level 3 apprenticeship you will need 5 x GCSEs in the 9 to 4 (A

　　to C) range, including Maths and English, or a Merit profile in a relevant Level 2 qualification.We also look for:

　　Someone who is inquisitive, with an interest in continuous improvement

　　Someone who is proactive and passionate for getting involved

　　Someone who has good attention to detail

　　Someone who is happy to work as part of a team

　　Stantec has partnered with property sector charity LandAid as one of its corporate partners to join its mission to end youth homelessness.

　　In 2019/20, an estimated 120,000 young people asked for help from their local council because they were homeless or at risk of homelessness.
