Hunt Electric, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time Civil Construction Superintendent to join our team within the Traffic & Infrastructure Division. This position requires self-motivation and self-management of work with interpersonal skills to meet with others in a face-to-face environment. A strong background in underground utility, trench excavation, dry utility conduit systems, and utility vault placements is a must. Additionally, a thorough understanding of excavation equipment, support resources, safety requirements (OSHA), and means and methods is required. The ideal candidate for this position has additional experience in electrical and communication systems.
The Civil Construction Superintendent will lead the building of Roadway projects, Street lighting, Underground utilities, Electrical and Communication systems. A qualified individual will also be responsible for setting vaults and performing light concrete work, including pole foundations. This person will also be responsible for the safety and production of your crews.
This Civil Construction Superintendent position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities. Job Requirements:
Strong understating of underground conduit systems.```{=html}
```- Requires working with light, medium and heavy tools to install underground conduit, boxes, vaults, rebar, and pour concrete.

```- Direct multiple employees while completing a variety of tasks.- Schedule work and create a pull plan which captures manpower and equipment needs.- Forecast and order material in coordination with area superintendents.

```- Must have a valid driver's license with CDL Class-A.

```- Excellent ability in operating excavators, loaders, and various heavy equipment.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Creative problem-solving ability.- Read and interpret engineering plans and drawings.- Complete daily equipment inspections, safety and foreman logs.- Individuals will have a minimum of basic computer knowledge.- Experience in placing concrete in forms, columns, and bases.- Read and understand survey markings.- Experience setting pre-cast concrete vaults.- Prepare redline drawings during and at the completion of the project.
Minimum Qualifications Preferred:
Must have experience with the operation of excavators, loaders, and digger derricks.

WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am -- 4:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am -- 2:00 pm.
