The Role at a Glance

As a Service Representative you are aligned to our Long-Term Disability Initiation Claims team. You will serve as a direct point of contact for claimants to research, initiate, and manage a caseload of increasingly complex LTD claims while providing an exceptional service experience.

What you'll be doing

Initiates and manages a case load of increasingly complex LTD claims in an efficient courteous manner by gathering information through relevant questions to claimant and reviewing submitted documentation.

Ensures the accuracy and completeness of submitted claims.

Performs research to respond to and resolve increasingly complex claimant inquiries while meeting departmental quality, service, and production standards.

Documents claimant interactions and maintains accurate records by verifying and processing increasingly complex claim and/or policyholder information in appropriate system(s).

Reviews increasingly complex claimant insurance coverage to determine basic eligibility and claim information for payment; effectively collaborates with appropriate internal resources as needed.

What we’re looking for

Must haves :

High School Diploma or GED

1-2 years experience in case management or customer service

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task / prioritize

Nice to Haves:

Claim Creation experience

Experience in a high volume and fast pace environment

Disability claims management or claims initiation experience

Level: N3-1

The pay range for this position is $22.21 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
