Currently ManTech is seeking a Chief Scientist III (R&D Assessment) to join our team supporting our growing Defense Sector and Marine Corps programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs the functions of a technical expert on scientific analysis in the support of major programs or system development.
Perform R&D assessments, analyses, and AoAs to develop recommendations that strengthen and maintain the defense industrial base.
Conduct logistical and analytical R&D on materials to identify logistical problems and develop resolutions.
Applies scientific expertise in defining and resolving system issues, performing analysis, and developing plans and requirements in the subject-matter area for complex systems.
Coordinates and manages the preparation of analyses, evaluations, and recommendations for proper implementation of programs and systems.
Developing analysis-based recommendations on the most efficient use of Government resources through assessments, and reporting; data collection; budget tracking, and projection, analysis; accounting; performance audits, audit readiness.
Experience:
At least 12 years of experience of scientific research or in a related scientific field.
Familiar with a variety of the defense industrial base concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks.
Provide consultation on complex projects and is the top-level contributor/specialist.
Lead and direct the work of others.
Report to an executive or director.
Education:
Master’s degree in STEM field preferred. and/or Ph.D.Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI ClearancePhysical Requirements:
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.
The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
