Position, align, fit, and weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to design drawing tolerances and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilites:
observes and follow all safety rulesmust be willing to work overtime as an extension to your normal workday or on weekends, as scheduledMust read tape measures, 6" scale, and a combination square or possibility to learn to read these measuring toolsmust be able to read and comprehend blueprintsmust keep your Hunter's D1.1 certification currentmust correctly fit and weld parts to be conforming to design drawing tolerancesmust supply own welding helmet, tape measure, and 6" scaleposition parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamp parts together along layout marksexamine welds for size,location, and conformance to design drawings and specificationsrepairs defective welds and broken or cracked metal objects, fill holes, and builds up metal parts.must be able to use oxy/acetylene torch or plasma cutting toolmay train other operators*Must be willing and able to be trained to operate a variety of welding robot machines***Must be able to pass a welding certification test at Hunter Engineering
