Our client is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech for a long term, 4 week temp assignment. Must be Flexable to work 4 varied shifts a week, Mon- Fri.

Responsibilities:

Assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures in the outpatient surgical center.

Preparing operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and readily available.

Positioning and draping patients appropriately for surgical procedures.

Passing instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.

Maintaining a sterile field throughout surgical procedures to prevent infections.

Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and proactively providing assistance.

Assisting with patient transport to and from the operating room.

Participating in post-operative cleanup and sterilization of equipment and operating rooms.

Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

Documenting patient information and surgical procedures accurately and in a timely manner.

Remaining current on best practices and advancements in surgical technology and techniques.

Qualifications:

Must be a Certified Surgical Technician

At least 2 years of Orthopedic Experience Preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Knowledge of surgical instruments and specialized equipment, required.

Successful completion from a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologist, holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist (CST)

Must be and remain in good standing with NYS regulations, required. Prior experience as an Operating Room Technician required.Top of Form

The salary range for this position is $37-$47/hour
