  Schedule: Full Time Days, 40 hours

  Location: Nashville, TN

  Here you will work as a focused service line team that emulates a specialty hospital experience resulting in increased physician and OR team satisfaction, improved clinical outcomes and a decrease in serious safety events. OR team members will be guaranteed their hours in this model, reducing uncertainty and increasing the availability of PTO for its intended use. You will also be eligible for a quarterly incentive bonus based on team performance!

  Responsibilities

  Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

  Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.

  Hand required/requested instruments and supply to surgeon during surgery.

  Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.

  Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instruments counts throughout procedures.

  Requirements

  Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Per Tennessee Code (TCA) 68-57-101(a), non-certified applicants must have 18 months of surgical technologist experience in the 3 yearspreceding 5/21/07; or began the appropriate surgical technologist training prior to 5/21/07 and completed by 5/21/10.

  Education:

  High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Additional Preferences
