　　The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) diagnoses and treats various medical conditions that impact women's health. Their duties include hospital-based maternity care to include antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, and neonatal circumcisions. They are responsible for providing obstetrical care in collaboration with other Jericho Road Community Health Center clinicians.

　　QUALIFICATIONS:Certified nurse midwife (CNM).RN, Masters or Nurse Doctorate (ND) Certification by American Nurses Credentialing Counsel (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, or equivalent certifying body.Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships.Excellent patient-centered skills and clinical capabilities.

　　CLINICAL:Diagnose and treat conditions that affect women during and after pregnancy.Work with pregnant women to explain the childbirth process.Provide maternity care services in the hospital setting.Improve patient outcomes, and deliver quality care within practice areas as assigned.Participate in obstetrical call pool with other Jericho Road clinicians.Follow up with patients regarding lab results or other medical care concerns.Offer patient and family centered care in a consistent cost effective manner.Provide patient care in a holistic manner including attention to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.Ensure all clinical care is delivered in a manner that meets or exceeds goals and expectations for clinical outcomes, quality assurance standards, state/local regulations, and patient satisfaction.

　　ADMINISTRATION:Maintain electronic medical records efficiently and maximize resources.Create a learning plan that includes familiarity with new research and changes to standard of practice.Participate in risk management activities as required for FTCA malpractice coverage.Maintain current certifications including all mandatory annual and CPR training.Ability to adhere to professional code of ethics, and compliance to Article 28 and FQHC requirements.
