　　Description:

　　Preparing glassware (includes washing and wrapping) for sterilizing. Operation of autoclaves which requires lifting up to 50 lbs. Media and supplement preparation. Standing required. Working conditions include heat and high humidity.

　　Tasks/Essential Functions:

　　• Manually wash or operate machines to wash and remove impurities from items such as glass products, manufactured articles, and plastics.

　　• Remove glassware and media from autoclaves, cool and tighten lids.

　　• Put away and rotate glassware and lab supplies.

　　• Prepare equipment for autoclaving.

　　• Record keeping includes clear and precise documentation of processes.

　　• Assist with training of new employees.

　　• Maintain, clean, or sterilize laboratory instruments or equipment

　　• Routine cleaning of processing area.

　　• Cross-training in multiple functional areas.

　　• Requisition of materials for the department as needed.

　　• Other duties as assigned

　　• Flexible hours required per business need.

　　• Weekends and/or holidays as required by business need.

　　Hours:

　　1st shift M-F, occasional Saturdays, but OKAY if someone can't work Saturdays. 5AM-6:30AM start time depending on the day, 2:30-3PM end time depending on the day.
