Cattaraugus NY. Center Supervisor SCOPE:1. Reports to Development Coordinator.2. Responsible for ensuring proper staffing, child supervision, and other aspects of providing oversight to a particular location. Ensure that all aspects of the center's programming are in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and OCFS Regulations for Day Care Centers.3. Supervision of all staff at assigned location, including approval of timesheets and time off requests.

　　Works closely with Component Coordinators to conduct job evaluations, interviewing and hiring of staff4. Designated as Center Director for NYS OCFS Day Care License. QUALIFICATIONS:1. Bachelors degree including, or in addition to, 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field AND one year full-time teaching experience in a child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program AND one year of experience supervising staff; OR2. New York State Children Program Administrator Credential AND one year full time teaching experience in a child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program AND one year of experience supervising staff; OR3. Associates degree in Early Childhood or related field with a plan of study leading to a Bachelor's degree AND two years full time teaching experience in a child day care center, family or group family day care home, or other early childhood program AND Two years of experience supervising staff; OR4. Child Development Associate Credential with a plan of study leading to a Bachelors degree AND two years full-time teaching experience in a child day care center, family or group family day care home, or other early childhood program AND Two years of experience supervising staff, OR5. Associates degree in Early Childhood or related field with a plan of study leading to a New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential AND two years full-time teaching experience in a child day care center family or group family day care home, or other early childhood program AND two years of experience supervising staff; AND6. Valid drivers license.MAJOR DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. General oversight of center including, but not limited to, use of the facilities in conjunction with community partners, maintenance, as well as visitors, parents, volunteers and guests. Support EHS Socializations and primary contact for Family Development Specialists at the center.

　　2. Complete, when necessary professional development plans and monitor completion with center level staff. In addition, enforce improvement plans based on monitoring visits. 3. Oversee child supervision policies and procedures, including boarding and un-boarding bus, within the center classroom, and at other program activities. Conduct formal classroom observations. Coordinate utilization of staff to ensure all requirements are met and executed safely.

Ensure full parent involvement in all aspects of the program, coordinate and attend parent committee meetings, arrange and conduct trainings, ensure follow up on child and family health needs, conduct regular case management meetings, ensure completion of enrollment decisions regarding student entry.5. Oversight of facility repairs, maintenance and required inspections. Work closely with Associate Director in seeking approval for repairs and maintenance. Ensure completion of monthly fire drills and safety inspection, bi annual shelter in place drills, completion of inspections that are required for day care licensing. Provide copies of all inspections to Associate Director when completed.
