Based: Sofia, Bulgaria
Reports to: National Trade Marketing &Category Management Manager

The purpose of this role is lead company success by applying knowledge of category best practices and consumer insights against objectives, strategies and opportunities as well as managing business data to develop fact-based recommendations that support achievement of sales objectives. The Category Manager is responsible to assess the category and analyze the potential of evolution/opportunities of development at the category/channel level.
What you will do:
Provide category expertise to the respective Marketing, Trade Marketing and Sales Teams (Traditional and Key Accounts/ KA)
Deliver Annual Trade Category Plans (Assortment, Planograms, Merchandizing)
Identify, develop, and/or evaluate specific product strategy, based on knowledge of establishments’ objectives, market characteristics, cost and markup factors.
Develop of trade strategies and category plays in order to deliver sales objectives and meet the strategic needs of the brands ;
Support and drive innovation process with trade related category insights and facilitating the development of channel specific plans working with Marketing and Trade ;
Apply knowledge of category and consumer insights along with best practices to create solutions to deliver both company and account strategies and objectives.
Provide insights and trainings to Sales and Trade Marketing Team (Cateogry-based selling approach) based on emerging shopper and market trends through reporting and other analysis.

University Degree, preferably in Trade, Economics, Marketing or related.
At least 3 years of working experience in commercial, either Sales, KA, Trade Marketing or Marketing function in FMCG;
Technical skills in defining brand and portfolio strategies, executing these clearly across the marketing mix.
Stockholder and client management approach as well as problem-solving, critical and analytical thinking.
Communication, presentation and influencing skills.
You are confident using English language both verbal and written.
You put people first , you’ve proven your ability to operate and influence effectively across different cultures demonstrating flexibility of style and communication skills. You are a team player, diplomatic and adept in dealing with energetic and demanding clients within tight timelines and with many cultures.
You are bold and decisive , you’re not phased by working across different jurisdictions and you can use your ability to coach and train the rest of the team, generating followership and buy in from commercial colleagues.
You take accountability , you are a creative problem solver with a high level of motivation, you excel in an autonomous and proactive working environment.
You learn every day ,you proactively acquire and maintain business knowledge to contribute to strategy.
