Assist personnel in all levels of product development andmanagement, underwriting strategy, individual risk underwritingdecisions, book management, and efficient operations and technology.Supervisor responsibilities to include staffing, training anddevelopment, performance management, and work force planning. Maintainand build upon appropriate business relationships with variousconstituencies, including, but not limited to, fellow employees,assigned brokers, reinsurers, and vendors. On any given day, you\'ll: I.As assigned and within established authority, provide leadership andmanagement oversight of staff to effectively write and retain profitablebusiness aligned with division objectives. II. Assist underwritingpersonnel at all levels to analyze and evaluate risk, recognizingexposures to make sound underwriting decisions on risk acceptability,coverage alternatives, risk management recommendations, and pricing,and/or perform these duties on larger or more complex risks. III. Reviewand evaluate products, filings, and pricing needs. Make recommendationsfor enhancements and changes as appropriate. IV. Establish prioritiesand adjust workloads to meet completion dates. Respond in a timelymanner to work/questions. V. Develop opportunities for information flow.VI. Build a strong working relationship with producers. VII. Maintainand continue to develop technical knowledge and expertise. VIII.Continue to develop leadership skills through internal and externalpublications, seminars, and conferences.
