FPT, a wholly owned business of Cleveland-Cliffs, has an immediate opportunity for a Cashier at the Detroit, MI location. The Cashier is responsible for processing payments and completing the required paperwork for individuals.

　　Summary of Responsibilities:The Cashier plays an important customer service role within the yard by providing timely, friendly, accurate, and safe services to our customersThe Cashier is responsible for processing payments and completing the required paperwork for our individual as well as commercial customersThe Cashier will also perform basic office duties as neededCalculate daily transactions using computerized programs and balance the cash drawer at the end of the dayGenerate invoices, itemize lists and tickets noting materials and amounts due, verify weights, prices, and extensionsAssist current and potential customers with questions regarding the pricing of materials, the types of materials accepted, and maintenance of customer accountsProvide relief and/or backup duties for the Office Assistant and WeighmasterAssists with monthly closing reporting and with inventory reconciliation as neededReconcile daily transactions and report on the resultsMaintain customer countsUpdate and manage weekly/monthly performance reportsOther miscellaneous duties as assigned

　　Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED.Excellent mathematical skills requiredAbility to perform multiple tasks simultaneously by effectively prioritizing and organizing assignmentsProficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)Excellent customer service requiredAbility to lift 25 lbs.General knowledge of car partsPre-employment background, physical, and hair drug screen required
