POSITION SUMMARY: The Case Management Supervisor supervises case management staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline, and termination. Coordinate and deliver social services to clients under PA Department of Human Services (DHS) contract and administration of social services and related activities including, but not limited to, conducting intake interviews, assigning cases, monitoring caseload size, and working with parents and/or their children within the Family Empowerment Services program. This role develops quality standards for case reports and monitors content, accuracy, and timeliness of case managers' case record documentation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide supervision of assigned staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline and terminationSupervise and perform intake interviews and telephone intake of cases referred by DHSAssign cases to case managers and monitor caseload sizesCollaborate with DHS supervisors and direct service workers to resolve service delivery issues including, but not limited to, transportation, attendance, and complianceCoordinate multi-disciplinary team staffing for clientsPlan, develop, modify, maintain and deliver as well as participate in agency training programsDevelop quality standards for case reports and monitor content, accuracy, and timeliness of case managers' case record documentationMaintain accurate client population and service data and complete statistical data reports in the electronic data systemRepresent Family Empowerment Services at community meetings, present at conferences and at DHS; prepare Individual Service Plans for DHS quarterly mailingsDevelop, collect, and analyze research data on agency social services to ensure best practices in response to proposals and/or program improvements and to ensure the data is collected for program metrics and performanceAttend home visits and carry own caseload and set goals and provide counseling to families, when necessaryPerform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocolsPerform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or related human services field; licensed social worker and Masters preferredThree (3) years of supervisory experienceFive (5) years' experience providing direct service to clients as a caseworker or counselorExperience working with DHS or similar type of public protective service agencyNon-profit human service experience highly preferredDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, prioritiesDemonstrated strong attention to detailDemonstrated strong time management and organizational skillsDemonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervisionDemonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actionsMust be able to perform CPR and crisis management using agency-trained protocolsMust possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; report-writer experience preferredExperience ith electronic record systemsMust have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record
