Required Qualifications (As evidenced by an attached resume):
Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full-time work experience in career coaching/talent acquisition/staffing with undergraduate and graduate students (related work during an internship may be considered). Experience designing and delivering educational/training presentations. Preferred Qualifications:
Corporate work experience at the associate level or higher. Experience working with graduate business students. Knowledge of job market trends for graduate business students. In-depth understanding of corporate recruitment strategies for college talent. Demonstrated frequent use of technology applications, such as online career research databases, career networking sites or web-based recruitment systems. Advanced workshop facilitation skills, experience in online delivery. Experience supporting working professionals' career growth. Experience utilizing back-end CRM/ATS/LMS software.
Brief Description of Duties:
Stony Brook University is increasing career support for graduate students in the College of Business. This new role will dual-report to the College and to the Career Center, ensuring deep relationships within the academic verticals, and supported by extensive resources and corporate relationships in the centralized career service. Duties:
Direct Client Service:
Provide individual and group career coaching for graduate students in the College of Business, who range in age and experience level and present a variety of career needs: exploration, experience, networking, and job search strategy. Utilize multiple methods of service delivery, including F2F and virtual. Programming: Design and implement F2F and online programs to scale career development support for graduate business students. Build positive relationships with the College of Business and the Career Center staff, as well as staff in Visa & Immigration Services. Outcomes Administration: Gather and monitor data for all experiences and post-graduate outcomes, as well as career readiness, skill acquisition, and other metrics as directed. Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and department mission. Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 a year based on experience. Full benefits.
