Job Description Summary
The Capture Excellence & Color Team Lead will contribute to the capture process by acting as a Color Team facilitator and scribe (Customer Value Proposition = understanding the customer’s requirements vs desires, Black Hat= competitor solution analysis, Gold Team = internal strategy analysis). The Color Team facilitator will also be a key contributing member of capture Mission Based Teams (MBTs) that ensures GE is following a documented capture process while considering a multitude of factors to improve proposal quality and success rate. This position will also conduct opportunity and market assessments to inform capture leadership’s strategy decisions. Responsibilities for this position include developing and implementing a documented Capture process (or road map), facilitating MBT color teams, conducting customer analysis, analyzing market and technology trends. The role will also maintain or increase the MBT’s awareness of competitor positioning.

Ability to synthesize information from varied sources; collect, understand, organize, and present Color Team work products to document GE Aerospace’s adherence to the competitive capture process. Demonstrate the ability to bridge from strategy to actionable objectives, actions, and progress metrics though critical thinking.
Ability to work across a geographically dispersed organization with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and support diversity
Exceptional listening, documentation, and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), including an ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, updates, and other documentation, and represent the organization on competitive intelligence, and capture strategies
Contribute to evolving the BD organization to support business growth
Demonstrate a growing/solid business acumen including the ability to investigate, comprehend, and interpret complex business challenges, and think and act both strategically and tactically assess and build effective relationships both externally and throughout the organization
Performing periodic assessments and reports on key competitors, identifying critical information to drive business decision making.
Providing ad-hoc competitive research summaries on emerging technologies
Digesting large amounts of data and generating succinct messaging to senior leadership on the implications of the analyzed data
Performing research and analysis on competitive landscape of current and potential future markets, both domestically and internationally
Evaluating technical and financial performance of competitors
Continually improving of competitive research processes and intelligence reporting tools, while remaining ethical and following GE’s Spirit & Letter for ethical collection and analysis of open source information
Conduct independent “Lessons Learned” for successful captures (wins) and losses, ensure those lessons are compiled, documented, and proliferated for future capture team kickoffs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience within a project management or customer facing role)
A minimum of 6 years of experience within a project management or customer facing role
