Description

　　Robert Half is seeking an experienced Buyer to fulfill a long-term contract role with a reputable company in Monroe, OH. The Buyer will play a key role in procurement, handling negotiations, assessing pricing, and evaluating vendor quotes and services to identify the most suitable suppliers. 　　RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Collaborates with vendors to gather product or service details.

　　Negotiates optimal vendor terms, pricing, and delivery terms. Coordinates all inbound and outbound services, handling associated documentation.

　　Conducts a weekly supply and demand analysis using Sage, based on MRP suggestions.

　　Generates purchase orders and inputs them into Sage 100. Ensures timely receipt of order acknowledgments, confirming prices and requested delivery dates.

　　Monitors expected deliveries and addresses any overdue orders, proactively contacting suppliers for follow-up. Notifies management of potential issues impacting production.

　　Analyzes order requirements from global service centers and determines the most effective strategy to meet those needs.

　　Interfaces with various departments to resolve problems related to non-inventory purchased items and services.

　　Issues purchase orders for necessary parts and materials required for production and office areas.

　　Manages a tracking system for specific Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) commodities.

　　Requirements

　　3-5 years of procurement and experience in a manufacturing environment.

　　Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

　　Familiarity with MRP systems

　　Excellent interpersonal skills

　　Capability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

　　Strong mathematical skills.
