Design, develop, enhance, implement, and provide support for application software. The Business Systems Analyst 3 will coach, train, and mentor others in addition to leading key technology initiatives across the organization.Summary of Responsibilities:BSA 1:Work directly with the user community, under the guidance of senior analysts, to develop systems enhancements and resolve production problems.Work with users and team members to review and clarify user requests including impact analysis.Document specifications, requirements, user manuals, procedures, and other relevant information.Provide test scripts and follow full testing methodology through development and implementation to ensure that quality goals are met.Provide training for users on functionality of new systems and enhancement in releases of existing systems.BSA 2:Work directly with the user community to develop system enhancements and resolve production problems. Confer with users to determine functional requirements and enhancements. Present designs to user management and staff.Review user specifications with all involved parties to ensure proper evaluations are conducted and recommendations are made to users that satisfy business and technical requirements.Work with team members and user community to establish priorities on projects.Remain current on developments in the industries, and make recommendations on new technologies to users where appropriate.Document specifications, requirements, user manuals, procedures and other relevant information.Provide training for users on functionality of new systems and enhancements in releases of existing systems.Provide test scripts and follow testing methodology through development and implementation to ensure that quality goals are met.BSA 3Work with users to develop systems enhancements and resolve production problems. Confer with users to determine functional requirements and enhancements. Present designs to user management and staff.Work with users to set priorities; review and clarify user requests, document the request with user, including writing requirements and system design documents. Aid junior analysts with their specification gathering efforts.Provide project leadership and manage implementation of new technologies into systems structure, such as operating systems, telecommunications and network development and non-traditional applications. Verify recommended solution meets user's needs and works logically before placing into production. Develop test plans and data, run functional verification tests, review test results with user, and obtain user approval.Document specifications, procedures and other relevant information.Monitor trends and new developments in technology; recommend appropriate new technology and enhancements for business applications: Lead the business process redesign and documentation needed for new technology.The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by persons assigned to this classification.
