Splunk is looking for an individual to join its finance team in our newly established Business Process Team (BPT). The Manager role will lead process understanding, impact and prioritization of improvement projects across Finance. You will partner closely with Finance leads, enabling you to gain visibility across different finance departments across the company. This is a great opportunity to become part of the Finance team and have potential to directly help improve Finance processes and systems that impact the entirety of Splunk.
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
Responsible for evaluating existing processes, understand stakeholder inputs from multiple departments, analyze change impacts, and recommend prioritization of efforts. Recommend and independently communicate adjustments to workflows, schedules, user documentation, or other processes, as needed. Proactively identify problem process areas and actively drive change with a focus on continuous improvement, setting standards and maximizing operational efficiencies, and weighing cost vs benefit of manual vs systemic solutions Demonstrated experience leading project plan development and independently directing execution across multiple parallel projects Collaborate with various functional departments such as Sales Ops, Legal, HR, and internally across all of Finance including Finance Systems, as appropriate. Requirements: I've already done that or have that
12+ years of related finance or accounting experience, with emphasis on Finance system and process improvements in a SAP environment This role is for doers and to bring the prior experience to the forefront; be able to get into the details and get the job done while being able to keep the big picture in focus at all times Ability to work well under pressure, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and stay flexible and constantly re-prioritize through growth and change. Strong customer service, partnership collaboration orientation, and desire to help others succeed, across the team and their stakeholders. With executive presence and effective presentation skills, adept at communication skills to senior executives, leadership peers, and stakeholders. M&A process integration and project management experience Comfortable completing projects requiring individual initiative and flexibility in tight time frames Financial acumen broadly across the organization (e.g., understanding of financial statements, chart of accounts, spend to pay cycles, quote to cash cycles, annual planning processes, etc. Project planning, coordination, communications and process/system change experience Prior software industry and/or US headquartered company Process improvement work involving SAP and analytical experience with Microsoft Excel Other software and system skills (Google Suite, Workday, Tableau, Ariba, Revpro, Salesforce, Slack, Smartsheet, Zoom) a plus. Education: Got it!
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or IT or related relevant areas a plus Professional certifications such as PMP, Agile scrum master, Six Sigma, Critical Chain PM, etc. a plus. Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $156,000.00 - 214,500.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $142,400.00 - 195,800.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $129,600.00 - 178,200.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
