[North Iowa Community School District is seeking candidates for the position of Business Manager.
Candidates must have or be eligible for Iowa School Business Official Authorization. Associates degree in accounting or business needed. Strong communication, management, supervision, and technology skills are required. Familiarity with government accounting and experience with State and Federal Government reports is necessary.

Keep an accurate, separate account of each school fund with the treasurer, charge him/her with all warrants and drafts drawn in his/her favor, and credit him/her with all orders drawn on each fund.Keep an accurate account of all bills and present them to the Board for audit and approval for payment.Make and file with the Board monthly financial statements, showing receipts, disbursements and the remaining balance in each fund.Countersign all warrants and drafts upon the county treasurer drawn or signed by the president. Draw warrants for claims allowed by the Board, countersign and keep a record of them showing fund upon which the warrant is drawn, the date, name of payee, purpose and the amount.Prepare and publish the annual and quarterly financial statements for the district.Mail itemized statements to the secretary of debtor districts on or before February 15 and June 15 of each year.Responsible for all payroll, quarterly Social Security, IPERS, State and Federal reports and W-2 forms.Handle the employee group insurance, premiums, enrollments, claims, etc.Assist in preparing budget forms.Keep accurate records on all sick leave, personal leave, etc., for all employees.Invest any idle funds.File required reports to Department of Education and AEA.HR duties including advertising open positions, background checks, management of application materials and personnel files.To assist in other matters as may be delegated by the Superintendent.[Competitive salary with a robust benefits package that includes family health insurance, IPERS, LTD, and 403b contribution.
