Rapid and Rural Logistics is a rapidly growing area of Amazon fulfillment that includes rush service and super rural delivery. As a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer, your focus will be on providing metrics, operational insight, and other analytical support to stakeholders for the Sub-Same Day Delivery business.Candidates will have excellent analytical abilities, sound judgment, curiosity, strong technical skills, and superior written and verbal communication skills. They will have a strong bias toward data driven decision making. They must be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to think big and be creative to support a rapidly growing business that operates like a start-up within Amazon. If you are excited about data, are results oriented, and want to join a growing analytics team, this role is for you.Key job responsibilities- Provide technical expertise in extracting, integrating, and analyzing critical data for Under the Roof and On Road operations.- Clearly communicate any potential discrepancies and/or reporting downtime, including specific root cause and steps to resolution- Design and develop key performance metrics and indicators- Be hands-on with ETL to build data pipelines to support automated reportingA day in the life- You will create interactive dashboards and data visualizations that are widely used throughout the organization- You will provide technical and business expertise in integrating data from a variety of source systems and presenting it through an array of self-service applications- You will perform ad hoc analysis to quickly identify high priority and time sensitive operational issues relating to new delivery mechanisms and pilot programs- You will work with key stakeholders to document and translate business requirements into technical requirementsWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Bellevue, WA, USA- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysisOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $65,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market.
