About this role
Aladdin Client Transformation (ACT) is a part of the Aladdin Client Business and is responsible for delivering solutions and implementing our software for our customers. The Aladdin Client Transformation team works with both Public and Private markets clients, through our diverse solution offerings.
Through close collaboration with our customers, we implement our solutions through dedicated projects. This allows our team to connect with our clients and ensure our solutions fit their day-to-day activities, while we bring the standard processes from the market.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Intelligence Consultant to join the BlackRock Alternative ACT team. In this role, you will provide report writing services for a variety of system implementation projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, capturing report requirements, eliciting report specifications from colleagues and clients, and crafting and writing reports using a combination of SQL (Data warehouse), a SAS-based language (training will be provided), MS Office tools, and Dashboarding tools. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging and exciting projects with a diverse team. After the training period, you may be required to travel to European countries a few days per month for client workshops or training.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Liaise with clients, consultants, and IT teams to capture and assist in defining detailed requirements and functional and technical specifications for reporting aspects of implementation projectsDevelop and deliver functional reports using SQL, a SAS-based language, and eFront Reporting toolsFormat output in the requested layout and file format (Excel, Word, PDF, dashboards)Conduct report testing and data reconciliation (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing)Balance multiple projects in parallelEnsure quality and timeliness of delivery to meet prescribed standards in design and qualityDocument all work to a high professional standardSupport other team members

You should have:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a ConsultantExperience using scripting tools such as Base SAS, SPSS, or PythonExcellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and balance multiple parallel work streams independentlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business problems and craft appropriate technical solutionsExceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage optimally with both a technical and non-technical user baseOutstanding presentation skills, both written and verbalEnglish mandatory, Proficiency in French is a plusA Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred
