The Role
ONYX's Advanced Sensing Hardware offering has seen significant success over the last few years. Our R&D team are constantly innovating and developing new products to take to market & we are now looking for someone to lead the way and take us to the next level.
We're now on the lookout for a sales professional to join our Product Management Team. This role has a heavy commercial focus so therefore requires someone who is ruthless when it comes to tracking the performance of product or service sales.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to move away from a hard sales role and in to a Product focussed role in a small but global business in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand the market. Identify target markets, market sizes and customer types. Attend events and talk to customers regularly.
Own the product roadmaps. Work with the Advanced Sensing Development and Supply Chain teams to agree product specifications and release timescales.
Establish the internal business cases for new developments. Present business cases to the CEO and management team and gain buy-in.
Work with the Marketing team to create material to promote Advanced Sensing products. Work collaboratively to deliver content including website content, advertising, conference presentations, etc.
Create and own internal sales collateral – e.g. price lists; template proposals; sales presentations; etc.
Ideally you'll have:
Experience of working in a B2B sales and marketing environment as a Product Manager, Business Development Manager or Account Manager.
A degree qualification in a relevant technical discipline – e.g, Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.
Confident in promoting or selling technical products or services.
Outstanding initiative and creativity with the resourcefulness to execute plans independently.
The motivation & self-drive to achieve commercially focussed targets.
