This position supports, internal and external communications focused on the company's strategic direction through developing and executing integrated marketing and communication initiatives. Primary accountabilities include promoting and protecting the company's brands and supporting the strategic positioning of the company through effective promotion and messaging with target audiences. This position will be on-site in our West Des Moines office at least three days per week and more often during training.
What you'll do:
Communications - Lead in developing and implementing marketing and communication plans for projects or contracts. This includes collaborating with workgroups and key staff members to define marketing and communication needs to develop integrated solutions and ensure communications are accurately targeted and effective. Create and facilitate a consistent process for developing and disseminating a bi-weekly newsletter. Create and disseminate email blasts on an ad hoc basis. Collaborate with internal and external parties on newsletter articles/email blast content.```{=html}
```- Event Production - Collaborates with Project Manager on timeline development and implementation. Creates presentations for various meetings, conferences, and events. Review speaker presentation content for adherence to style guide and 508 compliance. Coaches/supports and communicates with event speakers. Facilitating kick-off and dry run meetings with presenters and clients. Create Zoom meetings/registration, facilitate live events (including preconference and debrief), and compile post-event reports. Administer post-event assessments (as needed). Assist with communicating event reminders and follow-up.- Develop contract-specific style guide and modify, as needed. Develop individual project communication plans. Writes articles and press releases for various mediums including email, newsletters, websites and various social media activities. Creates and leads development of promotional materials such as brochures and mailers.- Participate in regular client-facing meetings. Contribute to meeting agendas. Develops methods, tools and monthly reports for measuring success of marketing and communication efforts including work status and newsletter performance. Target reports for specific audiences as needed by the project.- Promote the brand and our products/services by creating, editing and posting engaging video content on multiple platforms.
What you need:
Four-year degree in business, journalism, marketing or a communications related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience5-7 years experience in marketing and/or communicationsDemonstrated experience with web-based marketing and/or communicationsDemonstrated experience writing for publications, marketing collateral, newsletters websites, newsletters, and press releases1 - 2 years experience in graphic design preferredIdeal candidates will have:
