The BDE’s are specialist technology sellers, each focused on a specific functional area, including Microsoft Azure, IT Asset Management, Future Workplace (Microsoft O365), ITAM and responsible for a combination of new logo acquisition and upselling to our expansive portfolio of customers. This is deemed a critical role for our business. The position will leverage SoftwareOne’s resources building on our widely recognized, market leading position. This person will manage a local sales team and will recruit further heads into roles. The role therefore provides an opportunity to shape the team. The Technology Sales Leader will not be required to hold expansive knowledge of all specialist areas, but demonstrable experience of managing high performance teams and a background in technology based solution sales are a must. Your focus will be driving the sales of SoftwareONE Solutions & Services, which includes but not limited to: Cloud Services FinOps Publisher Advisory Services and IT Asset Management Digital Supply Chain Future Workplace (Microsoft O365) Amazon Web Services (AWS) It is expected that the Technology Sales Leader will continue to maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge around a specific field and service as a true subject matter expert. Whereas it would be unrealistic to expect a technology leader to have in-depth expertise in all areas, it should be expected that they will know/learn to a level that they can create and deliver executable strategies/plans. Key expectations: Driving a results-and-people-oriented high performance culture Leading a team of specialist Business Development Executives. This includes proactive coaching, mentoring, training, support and looking after the general well being of all direct reports. Refine and execute a sales engagement strategy that drives tangible and achievable results. Achieve or exceed the agreed sales targets, including budgeted sales gross profit target, each month. Embed the SoftwareOne Core Values in all day to day activities. Ensure a high level of employee engagement and satisfaction. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and experience (9 out of 10 on Net Promoter). Personally contribute to the prospecting of new direct clients and partners to develop new business, revenue and profit for SoftwareOne. This includes: Day to day meetings with prospective clients and existing customers Attending networking events, seminars, industry forums and regular meetings with key technology partners Lead negotiations, coordinates complex decision-making process, and overcomes, objections to capture new business opportunities. Effectively communicates and present the SoftwareOne Value Proposition and all associated Service Offerings. Develop specialist technology engagement strategies for top/named accounts which maximize cross-sell and up-sell business opportunities. Assists with all marketing related events, seminars, mailings, and call campaigns. In collaboration with Account Manager and Sales Leaders, submit an accurate and timely forecast, on a weekly basis, that are aligned with assigned sales quotas Ensure the BDE’s accurately log all client activities, opportunities and contacts in OneSales (CRM) Proactively invest in your personal training and development. This includes keeping up to date with software & IT industry trends, maintaining vendor certifications and professional accreditations. Accountable for ensuring SoftwareOne meets all customer contractual obligations and manage the escalation process if/when required. Accountable for ensuring customers deliver on SoftwareOne contractual terms.
