  Business Development Director - Commercial Solutions Consultant

  About The Role:

  As a key member of our Business Development team, you will be at the frontline of generating excitement and demand for our unique solutions and forming successful lasting client relationships. You will be instrumental in driving growth within the Commercial/B2B segment and will be responsible for managing and expanding existing customer relationships with some of our key issuing clients in the UKI Division.

  Specifically, we are looking for someone that has strong expertise & understanding of the commercial and banking ecosystem. You will be responsible for leading and driving value added services sales in carded commercial POS flows and B2B accounts payable flows - which is essential to realizing our ambitions in capturing new payments flows. In addition, expertise in consulting sales management and professional problem-solving skills is essential.

  Key responsibilities include:

  • Together with existing team, shape Mastercard Data & Services growth strategy in UK & Ireland and execute against that strategy

  • Ownership of the sales process from prospecting to writing well-structured and persuasive proposals to demonstrations and commercial contract execution

  • Working with Mastercard account managers and clients to identify new business opportunities, communicate opportunity areas to key clients, ensure alignment among stakeholders and manage dependencies

  • Building effective working relationships across management levels in client organization

  • Identification of client's pain points, root causes and potential solutions

  • Understanding of client's organizational systems and taking a considered approach to problem solving for the client's unique situation

  • Partnering with project team to ensure project quality and identification of follow-up sales opportunities

  About You:

  Experience & demonstrated excellence in a B2B sales role

  Strong expertise & understanding of the commercial and banking ecosystem

  Proven self-starter with record of success in team-oriented environment.

  Demonstrated experience in selling solutions to c-level clients

  A customer first attitude, capable of uncovering customer needs and crafting innovative global customer strategies.

  Strong networking skills and a high degree of confidence initiating contact with new prospects & existing customers to generate and qualify leads.

  Exhibit strong relationship management skills to drive revenue growth and expand buying centres, fostering lasting partnerships with the client.

  Proven self-starter with record of success in team-oriented environment.

  Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude

  Team player with excellent interpersonal skills

  Strong communication and persuasion skills, both written and oral.

  Excellent analytical skills

  *Experience in consultative solution sales and business development
