Business Analyst III
As a Technical Business Analyst for data migration, your primary responsibility will be to support integrations and data migrations between new and existing systems in the Park Place ecosystem. Beyond proficiency in the business analysis discipline, (understanding business objectives, eliciting requirements, documenting business processes, developing use cases and user stories for development) this role will require proficiency in mapping and migrating data to/from existing and new applications.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrated experience in data mapping between systems, integration APIs, JSON, dependency mapping, and development story writing. Additionally, you must have an excellent understanding of business process workflow and a thorough understanding of the IT development process.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will also be expected to contribute to project management activities on a limited basis. This will include coordinating project planning, estimating, resource allocation, software development, project status reporting, problem resolution, and collaboration with stakeholders.
What youll be doing:
- - Identify and catalog all relevant data that needs to be migrated.
- - Mapping data integrations between systems.
- - Analyze the structure, quality, and content of the data to identify any issues that may affect the migration process.
- - Define the mapping between data fields in the source and target systems, specifying how data will be transformed and loaded.
- - Choose and implement methods for extracting data from the source system, considering factors like volume, performance, and data dependencies.
- - Establish business rules for data transformation and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- - Contribute to comprehensive testing to validate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the migrated data.
- - Writing use cases and creating dependency maps utilizing Cawemo.
- - Provide the development team with use cases, process flow and Azure DevOps user stories throughout the development lifecycle.
- - Utilize defined requirements gathering and analysis standards to produce business analysis deliverables.
- - Produce/maintain project deliverables including entity model diagrams, detailed program specifications and use cases.
- - Validate design with users by contributing to proof of concept of proposed solutions.
- - Interact with technical architecture team on complex application implementations.
What were looking for:
- - 5+ years experience mapping, cleansing, transforming extracting and loading data in need of migrating between business systems.
- - 5+ years experience in a business environment where you have demonstrated business analysis discipline, requirements elicitation and documentation, process flow creation, use cases and DevOps story writing for medium and large package implementations and custom application development.
- - Minimum 5 year of experience in business analysis, process analysis an improvement, requirements definition, process flow creation, use case development and DevOps user story creations.
- - Full project life cycle experience is a plus.
- - Demonstrated excellent understanding of business workflow.
