Summary About the Position: Serves as a Term NTE 3 years Budget Analyst within the Washington D.C. detachment. Responsibilities Serves as a Budget Analyst, Command Detachment Washington Office, with responsibility for planning, programming, budgeting, coordinating, consolidating, evaluating and controlling the budget. Budget submissions will encompass the Command Budget Estimate Submission for Operation and Maintenance, Defense Agencies, and may include Procurement, and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE). Provides expert advice and guidance on the interpretation of congressional legislation/regulatory directives for the formulation and justification of the RDTE, and/or Military Construction, and Operations and Maintenance procurement programs. Prepares and publishes Program Budget Guidance for funds provided to the Command and its subordinate units. Reviews and analyzes budget input from all supporting organizations. Conducts staff visits to organizations to resolve budget formulation/guidance problems and/or provide assistance in funding matters concerning all appropriations. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing funding and formulation of budget estimates; providing justification statements for budget programs; analyzing formulation and execution of multi-year budgets for the development, procurement and modification Command projects. as well as analyzing changes to the Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) and procurement programs based on priorities and objectives of Command.
