About Bucks County Justice Center Assessor/Case Manager

  This employer will be on-site conducting interviews at our Multi-Industry Job Fair which will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the PA CareerLink Bucks County, 4800 E.   To the Courts:

  Work within established rules/regulations and protocols of various partnering organizations/County departments, including the Sheriff's Office, Courts, BCDAC, Inc., and the network of providers, etc.Act as a liaison between the courts, correctional facilities, treatment providers and BCDAC, Inc. Interactions will include, but are not limited to, Drug Court, Mental Health Court, Veteran's Court, Act 53, Jail Intervention, District Court Diversion Program and Pre-Trial release programs.Attend hearings, trials, and other judicial proceedings as needed.Provide technical assistance, including interpreting substance use disorder mandates and regulations identified through the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, the County of Bucks and BCDAC, Inc.?Case Management/Screening and Assessment:

  Provide screening and assessment services, as requested by the criminal justice system and/or BCDAC, Inc.Provide Case Management services to adults and youthful offenders to include Act 53 (involuntary commitment of adolescents by the court system).Coordinate and/or participate in cross-system/inter-departmental workgroups, meetings, and case consultations.Develop and utilize tools for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data.Develop reports and other written documents as required.Community Outreach and Education/Overdose Prevention:

  Represent BCDAC, Inc. at community meetings/community events, as requested.Provide education and training to County and community partners on various aspects of substance use disorder, resources, harm reduction (to include use of Narcan and Drug testing strips), as well as other identified topics of interest.Qualifications:

  Hold a degree in a related field (Psychology, Drug & Alcohol Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, etc.), with a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably working with individuals dealing with substance use disorder(s) who are involved with the criminal justice system.Strong understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention strategies are needed, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience in working with diverse populations.Pennsylvania licensure and/or certification (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, CADC, CAADC) is a plus, but not required.
