The Engineer will lead our growing Bridge Safety Inspection practice in PA while supporting bridge safety inspection in other states. You will also support our marketing and business development team, focusing on Bridge Safety Inspections statewide and all GPI services in Southeast PA. The ideal individual can lead a team in delivering our current projects and assist in growing our Transportation practice in Pennsylvania. The work may also include NHI Bridge safety inspection course instruction.

　　Manage a team delivering bridge safety inspections throughout PA while supporting bridge safety inspections in other statesWork with a team of professionals to lead and conduct bridge safety inspectionsInteract with clients and assist with marketing and business development statewide in relation to bridge safety inspectionSupport marketing and business development for all GPI services in southeast PAPerform field observations and site visitsPrepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, permits, and designs for projects, with a focus on bridge designConduct research and preparation of reports, and present findings and results to clientsSupport the client with capital improvement planning including providing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and developing recommendations and innovative solutionsQualifications:

　　BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required10+ years of experience in bridge design and transportation solutionsPE is required, and PA CBSI is a plusKnowledge and experience using CADD Software, such as MicroStation or AutoCADAbility to work on multiple projects and manage a teamRequirements

　　MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

　　Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final considerationPossess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job siteRead, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English languageBasic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team membersAble to stand for approximately 3 hours minimum a day up to 8 hoursAble to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.)Able to climb and leave a ladder to a platform varying from 6' to 20'Able to wear and operate personal fall arresting apparatus, and work at a height of 6' or higherAble to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while workingAble to move equipment or inspection specimens weighing up to 50 pounds
