Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in CLIFTON PARK, New York. The role is based in the Light Manufacturing industry and involves the management and oversight of a variety of financial and accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Managing and maintaining detailed accounting ledgers through precise posting of account transactions

• Overseeing the accounts receivable function which includes verification of transaction information, preparation and sending of invoices, and entry of customer payments

• Handling the accounts payable function which involves the verification of transaction information, entry of bills, and preparation of disbursements

• Assisting with month end closing activities and the preparation of financial statements

• Tracking, reconciling, and disbursing sales representative commissions

• Processing, verifying, and reconciling credit card activity, as well as maintaining records for all credit card transactions

• Generating and maintaining weekly and monthly metric and scorecard reports

• Overseeing employee expense reporting and reimbursements

• Providing accounting and clerical support to the finance department

• Maintaining an organized filing system for all financial documents, both physical and electronic. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Prior experience in Bookkeeping

• High proficiency in Data Entry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in Payroll management

• Experience in using QuickBooks
