  General Summary:

  The Senior Director of Automotive Supply Chain is a senior leadership position within the supply chain organization responsible for constructing and operating the processes, systems and customer interfaces to support and enable Qualcomm’s growth in the Automotive market. The position will be instrumental to ensure we meet Automotive business unit and customer needs, while leading the review and creation of processes that allow the business to scale while smoothly executing the end to end requirements. The position will provide the constant and leading interface between the customer, business unit, and sales toward the operations team to ensure alignment of operational plan to strategic requirements.

  Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  Review & Analyze new business models required by automotive customers, identifying deviations from traditional Qualcomm systems & processes

  Review & Analyze customer contracts, identifying risks and required changes to Qualcomm systems & processes to comply

  Ensure Qualcomm processes sufficiently support required customer forecast and order management processes

  Review & Analyze Qualcomm inventory positioning to ensure Qualcomm is in position to meet contractual requirements

  Enable processes, roles & responsibilities of all Qualcomm supply chain teams to ensure end to end visibility to provide excellent support to these customers.

  Construct & Oversee process & governance that provides End to End visibility, control, and readiness of automotive supply chain, with emphasis on module manufacturing, component sourcing, and the multi-tier customers (OEM & Tier 1)

  Collaborating and coordinating across all functions including but not limited to business unit, sales, customer service, supply chain & procurement, to understand and solve customer issues that span individual functional responsibilities.

  Building and develop a team of direct reports, providing ongoing communication, performance feedback, and creating an inclusive and collaborative environment.

  Knowledge & Skills

  Deep knowledge of Automotive supply chain

  Full understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and value chain, including contracts, demand management, sales & operations planning, procurement, order management, and logistics

  Experience and skill working with customers, including senior leadership

  Must be able to communicate effectively at executive and functional work levels

  Ability to create complex and multi-layered strategy within supply chain systems that aligns with corporate strategies and objectives over time

  Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • 10+ years of Supply Chain, Product Planning, or related work experience.

  Preferred Qualifications

  Master’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Industrial/Production Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

  15+ years of supply chain, operations planning, or industrial engineering experience.

  10+ years of experience in Semiconductor or related industry.

  5+ years of experience with Automotive industry.

  5+ years in a leadership role with or without direct reports

  Creativity & Innovation : Inspires a creative culture that anticipates change, proactively considers the customer’s perspective, and constantly reinvents itself as it seeks out new ideas, products, and processes.

  D ecision Making: Ability to focus on the key drivers of a decision and think through the down-stream consequences of various options. Considers enterprise-wide implications, strategic alignment, and the broader marketplace when making decisions. Decisions have significant financial impact, influence customer strategy, are always aligned with Qualcomm's Code of Business Conduct, and expand or change the broader strategic plan.

  Pay range:

  $191,500.00 - $287,500.00

  The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
