We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to for an Events and Exhibitions company, located in Kentwood, Michigan. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and handling administrative tasks. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and timely.

• Regularly perform bank and account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.

• Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping activities and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Handle payroll activities, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.

• Perform month end close tasks to finalize financial records for the period.

• Assist with tax preparation and benefits administration to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Handle administrative duties such as answering inbound calls, scheduling appointments, and planning meetings.

• Update website and social media content regularly to ensure up-to-date information is available to customers and stakeholders.

• Use basic office skills and administrative experience to support company operations.

• Handle data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Bookkeeping

• Skilled in Data Entry tasks

• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge and experience in managing Payroll

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software

• Previous experience in an Administrative Office setting

• Possess Basic Office Skills

• Experience in providing Administrative Assistance

• Previous Administrative experience is a plus

• Ability to manage Answering Inbound Calls

• Proficiency in Email Correspondence

• Experience in creating Social Media Content.
