Description

A non-profit organization on the North Shore of Pittsburgh is in need of a temporary to hire Bookkeeper.

The Bookkeeper position is onsite but after the training period will be hybrid with 2 days of work being done at home.

The Bookkeeper would be responsible for the following duties:

• AP and AR processing, including payment processing via bank merchant services and fund accounting software

• General ledger maintenance including journal entries, accruals and month end close

• Grant accounting and management of grant and contract income

• Prepare weekly invoicing

• Bank account reconciliations

Prepared foundation and federal grant budgets and reviewed grant application

• Support new employee onboarding, benefit plans, and order office supplies

• Assist with IT requirements in the Pittsburgh Office

• Manage vendor payments via weekly check runs and ACH Batches

• Assist in annual audits and 990 preparation

• Help in the monthly closing process including labor allocations, indirect cost allocations, and financial reporting

• Contribute to the annual budget and quarterly projections process

• Process weekly and biweekly payroll using ADP

Requirements

· Associates degree is preferred but experience can trump degree

· Experience with nonprofits is a plus
