Description
We are in search of a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in Locust Valley, New York. The Bookkeeper will be crucial in managing our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Your role will involve working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and payroll.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the full cycle of accounting duties or assist the accountant with this function.
• Monitor financial transactions and reports.
• Process accounts receivable and payable, managing invoices.
• Utilize QuickBooks for data entry and management.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations, ensuring transactions are recorded correctly.
• Employ Microsoft Excel to develop spreadsheets and reports.
• Manage payroll system and handle payroll processing.
• Handle account reconciliation tasks to confirm accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
• Adhere to legal standards, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Requirements
Requirements:
-3+ years of Bookkeeping experience
• Possess a Bachelor's or Honours degree in a relevant field
• Expertise in Account Bank Reconciliation/ Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable
• Capable of performing Data Entry tasks with high accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
• Experienced in managing Payroll
• Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Must have a strong sense of discretion and respect for confidentiality.
