Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Dearborn Works facility is seeking a Licensed High Pressure Boiler Operator. Qualified candidates will be responsible for the consistent operation of the boilers through routine sampling, testing, monitoring, documenting, regulating pressures, temperatures, and other vital elements. This role requires astute attention to detail as well as the ability to think and act quickly in response to changes and malfunctions in the boiler’s operation.

　　Summary of Responsibilities:

　　Operates and performs basic predictive and preventative maintenance on high-pressure steam boilers, precipitators, auxiliary pumps, utilities, and related equipment.

　　Reads, records, monitors, and regulates pressures, temperatures, fluid levels, and other operating conditions.

　　Maintains logs and equipment status.

　　Communicates needs, concerns, and jobs to be done to management.

　　Follows all company safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.

　　Perform other duties as assigned.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Must possess and maintain a high-pressure boiler license for the city of Dearborn - if licensed in Detroit, must obtain a Dearborn license within 6 months of employment.

　　Must possess a valid driver's license.

　　Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

　　MUST have at least 2 years of experience working specifically on high-pressure boilers.

　　Must be willing to work any day and any shift - including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

　　Must be able to perform tasks that require heavy lifting and frequent standing, walking, and extensive climbing in a steel mill environment.
