Overview
The Patient Support Associate supports the work and operations of the behavioral health department. The associate welcomes patients and families into our care and assures the accurate scheduling of appointments, appropriate collecting and disseminating of patient demographics, contact and privacy information, and payer information.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Answer phone calls and inquiries coming into the behavioral health center.
Greet patients and families upon arrival in the center
Schedule upcoming appointments with all providers.
Confirm appointments with patients and families
Check-in patients and assure all appropriate information and forms are uploaded into the chart.
Check-out patients as necessary.
Communicate with members of the behavioral health team regarding concerns and challenges expressed by families and children.
Document contact and attempted contact as appropriate.
Maintains compliance with regard to state, federal and CHI guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education (including licenses, certifications):
High School Diploma, Advanced training in Medical Office Support preferred..Experience required and preferred:
Minimum of 3 years experience working in a medical office - behavioral health experience preferred.
Bi-Lingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
Skill Competencies:
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Comfort working with computers.
Demonstrate a high comfort working with diverse populations and an understanding of the cultural and social barriers that can exist when accessing health or health-related care.
Promote a positive team-based approach to treatment and care.
Pay Range
$18.74 - $25.77 /hour
