DescriptionBid Coordinator
Summary:Responsible for identifying and gathering the necessary information to generate bids. This includes working with CWD Procurement and Contract Compliance departments as well as Brokers and Vendors. Involves negotiating pricing, analyzing numbers, reviewing contracts, and creating revenue expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Bid GenerationWork with Sales Representative to review RFPs and gather customer information needed to start the process. This will include but not be limited to: Deadlines, nutrition expectation, product identification, forecasting, etc. Use this information to develop timelines for project completion.Negotiate pricing from vendors.Review and understand vendor contracts as well as work with Contract Compliance regarding pricing guidelines and restrictions, product limitations, etc. Provide Contract Compliance with necessary information to properly set up contracts.Understand and account for the impact of freight on availability and costs for the product as well as the companys cost to deliver. Be able to differentiate between different freight categories such as FOB, delivered, etc.Willing to learn Purchasing Programs including GPOs.Pull together the information to create Excel spreadsheets and present to sales and management the expected customer costs as well as company revenue. Assist in developing proposals.Busiest time of the year is from March - SeptemberContract EvaluationWhen not working on new bids, will focus on evaluating current contracts:Review for profitabilityReview for adherence to the bidOther Projectsas assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred1 year of administrative experienceKnowledge of the National School Lunch Program and the Child and Adult Care Food Program, or health care industry regulations is helpfulKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize requiredUnderstanding of contracts and logisticsCritical thinking and strong analytical skills.Ability to work independentlyDetail orientedBasic computer skills required with an emphasis in Excel, intermediate skills desired.Benefits:
