Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Production Planner to join our team in Holland, MI.
As a Production Planner, you will:
Perform production planning and scheduling functions to ensure constraint optimization and availability to manufactured materials for assigned manufacturing area of the Walls Plant to support order fulfillment. Manage inventory levels and allocation of manufactured materials according to customer demands and company objectives. Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Some of the responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Plans and schedules fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operation activities for assigned plant to ensure customer satisfaction.
Manages work center alerts and takes corrective action to resolve both immediate and potential shortages of supply; reschedules backlog. Proactively communicates customer service impact to stakeholders.
Regularly reviews and understands work center and plant capacity requirements to ensure customer demands can be met.
Uses labor forecasts to create production schedules.
Manages in-transit and interplant orders to assume timely delivery of materials.
Develops and schedules workflow for each department and operations according to pre-established manufacturing sequences and lead times to produce executable schedule.
Manages and applies multiple scheduling calendars for resource availability, utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Applies basic replenishment methods and planning models (i.e., Make To Stock [MTS] and safety stock) in fully integrated system environment to ensure effective delivery to customer.
Initiates actions to prevent occurrence of nonconformance relating to product, process, and systems to ensure perfect execution.
Do you have these required qualifications?
Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or Logistics or similar.
Three years experience in production planning and control, product modeling, or inventory and warehouse management.
Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Advanced level Excel.
Experience with level loading.
