Continuous Improvement Engineer
Description:
This individual will help develop and communicate a continuous improvement vision
Actively coordinates and supports the implementation of continuous improvement systems.
Trains, coaches and motivates team members in the understanding and adoption of new principles and techniques related to continuous improvement, such as: standard work, variation reduction, 5S, SMED, VSM, RCA and others.
Manages Lean and/or Six Sigma projects by leading cross-functional teams to identify procedural and process changes that will improve efficiency, improve quality, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.
Monitors process performance compared to capabilities and generates recommendations for process improvements.
Identifies process constraints and monitors performance through the use of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Assists in troubleshooting, upgrading and testing of processes and equipment.
Develops best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output through the use of standard work and/or automation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology or related field
5+ years experience in a machining environment
GD&T
Six sigma
Statistical analysis for processing parts
Previous lean experience
If no degree-Associate's with 10 years of related work experience will be considered.
Pluses-
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Black Belt
Knowledge/experience with process programming, control strategies and instrumentations
