The Benefits Supervisor is the lead owner of Benefits and Leave of Absence execution, and is an advisor and key contributor to Benefits and LOA strategy. The Senior Benefits Lead is at the center of our strategy, execution, and communication of our Benefits and Leave of Absence plans.
Job Responsibilities
Lead owner of the administration of benefit and leave of absence programs and Workday business processes
Advise on going-forward benefit plan strategy, as a key contributor to Bob’s annual insurance renewal efforts
Work with the third party administrators, benefit vendors, HRIS and Payroll execute timely and accurate systems integrations in support of benefit and LOA business process execution
Process billing invoices and prepare vouchers for payment of administrative fees, while auditing invoices for errors
Lead contributor in drafting, reviewing and coordinating the delivery of employee benefits communications
Own annual open enrollment communication strategy and execution
Participate in Bob’s 401k Committee and execution of Fiduciary responsibilities
Own Leave of Absence administration and compliance efforts
Ensure timely response and resolution of associate benefit and leave of absence inquiries
Competencies
Strong working familiarity with benefit and leave of absence plan design and execution steps
Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS system with imbedded business processes in support of plan execution
Cross functional familiarity with Payroll and Finance functions
Strong verbal communication skills suited to collaboration and interactive in-person responses to associate issues
Strong written communication skills suitable to drafting impactful and effective procedure and informative benefits and LOA written/electronic communication materials
High degree of ownership for responsibilities and issue resolution
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with varied and numerous responsibilities and transactions
Supervisory Responsibility
The Senior Benefits lead does not have supervisory responsibility.Work Environment
Position resides at Bobs’ Headquarters in Manchester, CT. Note: This position is expected to work a mix of office and remote work.
High level of collaboration with various business partners within and outside of the Bobs’ HR Department.
Ongoing phone, email and report monitoring communication with business partners.

The Senior Benefits Lead is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Overtime work may be required in certain situations but should not be expected as the norm. Regular, predictable attendance is required.Required Education and Experience
Four to six years in a Benefits or Leave of Absence Specialist with broad responsibilities.Preferred Education and Experience
Direct experience as a user and/or admin of the Workday systemAmericans Disability Act (ADA)
Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance
Ability to move throughout all areas of stores
