Job Description
Kettering University Student Co-Op
Bosch Engineering North America is offering an internship within our E-mobility Team focused on High Voltage electrified applications. The successful candidate will support systems engineering tasks remotely as well as on-site at our Novi, Michigan facility.
Main Duties:
Support System Development of Customer E/E Architecture
Network Architecture.
Vehicle State and Terminal concept.
CAN communication protocol documentation and integration.
Support Central Gateway or Body Control Module (BCM) requirements development.
Support requirements engineering process development.
Support and/or conduct customer meetings as needed.
Review automotive industry standards and legislation (i.e. FMVSS 305), strategize construction of topics into requirements, and ensure the working team as well as the customer review and accept the requirements.
Additional project tasks
Design, Specification and Evaluation of E/E architectures and network topologies for automotive applications derived from customer specifications and features.
Evaluation of E/E architectures based on specific criteria (qualitative and tool based).
Requirements analysis, concept development as well as system and component specification (E/E Integration).
Qualifications
Preferred Candidates will possess:
Experience with reading and analyzing automotive legislation (i.e. FMVSS, EPA, SAE, etc).
An ability to learn fast and practice outside of the box thought process.
Excellent communication skills.
The flexibility in time and schedule management to facilitate work with international teams.
A passion for learning about the automotive industry, its history, and its future direction.
A strong desire to be part of and contribute to a diverse technically oriented team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Working towards Bachelor's engineering degree at Kettering University, preferably in electrical, mechanical or related field of study.
Minimum 3.0 GPA, Minimum 18 years of age
Valid driver's license
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
