JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Baler Operator will safely operate and maintainmachinery used in the process of baling materials while ensuring theclean appearance of the work area. Key Responsibilities: Remove finishedbales from baler, weigh and properly place in finished goods inventoryarea Perform maintenance and repair on baler, shredder and conveyor whennecessary Maintain weekly maintenance records of machinery Maintain aneat and orderly unfinished inventory area by properly stacking emptygaylords and picking up debris off the floor Operate all machinery insafe and efficient manner. Ensure that all safety equipment and gear isfunctional and properly used Support warehouse personnel on projectswhen directed by management Conform in all respects with applicablefederal, state/provincial and local laws, regulations, ordinances andother orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives fromsupervisors Perform other job-related duties as assigned Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalentcombination of education and experience Must have forklift operatortraining. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpretdocuments such as safety rules, instructions and procedure manuals.Ability to communicate effectively with others Physical/Mental Demands:Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel,crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb and balance Visual Requirements:include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Possess ability toregularly lift/move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift/move up to 50pounds. Possess ability to move up to 300 pounds. Working Conditions:Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
