　　Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Back End Web Developer to join our dedicated IT team in this remote position. Qualified candidates will be based in the continental US and be comfortable working Eastern standard hours. 

　　Applications will be accepted through January 29, 2024 and reviewed in order of receipt. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

　　The Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions, with this the upper end of the range is not always likely to be offered.

　　The Role:

　　As a Back End Web Developer, you will be responsible for creating robust and scalable server-side logic, resources, and APIs for our company website and customer portal. You will work closely with the web development team to implement business logic and data models using object-oriented programming in Java, C#, and Python. You may need to periodically assist with front end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SPA technologies like React or Angular. You will ensure that the web services are secure, reliable, and performant across different platforms and environments. Ideal candidates will excel with problem solving, effective listening, and value a customer intimate approach.

　　Core Responsibilities:

　　Manage, maintain, document, and develop server-side resources, APIs, and logic using industry best practices.

　　Manage, maintain, document, and develop system integrations and extract, transform, load (ETL) data operations.

　　Perform enhancements and bug fixes to existing server-side code.

　　Write unit tests.

　　Ensure customer facing applications and software adhere to security, quality, and performance standards.

　　Assist in the maintenance and development of other related software.

　　Perform basic system administration and maintenance of customer facing applications.

　　Education and Experience:

　　Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university, or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level. Computer Science degree preferred.

　　5+ years of relevant experience and/or training.

　　5+ years of experience in Java Web Development.

　　Ability to actively listen, understand diverse communication styles, and make decisions impacting organizational policies.

　　Prior supervisory experience a plus.

　　Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirement.

　　Technical Experience:

　　Proficiency in Java, C#, or Python.

　　Strong coding and programming skills in object-oriented programming.

　　Experience with web development frameworks/libraries (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, ASP.NET Core).

　　Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) for data design and manipulation.

　　Version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp).

　　Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks like Angular, React.

　　Proficient in debugging, troubleshooting, and testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, XUnit, PyTest).

　　Optimization of server code and SQL queries for performance.

　　Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Swagger, OpenAPI, WSDL, and SOAP.

　　Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, Bitbucket Pipelines).

　　Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi).

　　Travel:

　　Occasional travel is required, generally 2-5 trips per year.
