Independently perform tasks that typically include:Technical execution of complex protection and control project assignmentsapplied to both brownfield and greenfield projects for various clientsPreparation of engineering drawings and documents, calculations, and othermiscellaneous deliverables as requiredSupervise/coordinate other engineers of equal and lesser experience tosuccessfully deliver a projectComplete tasks in accordance with project procedures, applicable codesand/or standards, on schedule and within budgetDiscuss technical problems and communicate effectively with other projectpersonnel and outside CustomersPerform independent audits and reviews of technical workPerform proposal preparation, proposal estimates, and provide input toscope documents and client presentation Perform the function of a team leader that is capable of solving complexissues and act as a lead engineer responsible for the quality of thedeliverablesWork in a team-oriented environment with ability to work independently or aspart of a group when and as requiredInterface with other departmental staff, project management, and withoutside CustomersAbility to travel to job sites to perform site walkdownResponsible for the quality assurance of the documents to the applicabledrawing standards and responsible for the proper document managementprocedures are followed
What you will bringTechnical and Industry Experience:
Extensive experience in protection and control engineering for switchyards andsubstations including supervisory experience (up to and including 500kVvoltage class stations)Experience working in project leadership roleExperience in estimating project costs and writing proposal contentHas a competent understanding of regulations, electrical codes,manufacturing standards and industry standard practicesCompetent use of relevant software such as MS Office SuiteSelf-motivated, organized, and be able to work independently.Ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal and written communicationskills that permit working efficiently alongside senior substation engineers
