About the Role: The Data Platform team is on a mission to drive industry-leading innovation on a hyper scale security data lake, which helps find bad actors and stop breaches. The team builds and operates systems to centralize all of the data from Falcon Sensors and 3rd Party sources, making it easy for internal and external customers to utilize the platform for batch and streaming analytics, machine learning and threat hunting. As an engineer on the team you will contribute to the full spectrum of our systems, from query processing, building scalable pipelines using different frameworks for ingestion, materialized views, transformation, data storage, as well as tools and applications to make data available to thousands of users and hundreds of internal systems. What You ll Do: This role will be responsible for shaping the vision of our Analytics Data Platform for its next phase of growth in the areas of building a Unified Data Catalog, Query Analysis for structured data stored in different forms (columnar vs graph), building and optimizing query performance using different techniques of indexing and data partitioning. Familiarity with various big data frameworks is required for this role. * Design, develop, and maintain a data platform that processes petabytes of data * Participate in technical reviews of our products and help us develop new features and enhance stability * Continually help us improve the efficiency of our services so that we can delight our customers * Help us research, evolve and implement new ways for both internal stakeholders as well as customers to query their data efficiently and extract results in the format they desire What You ll Need: * We are looking for a candidate with a BS and 10+ years or MS and 8+ years in Computer Science or related field.
