The Risk Management and Operations AVP is a key member of the Community Investing and Development (CID) team, reporting to the Risk Management and Operations VP. The CID team works to enhance Citi’s positive social impact through equity investing, innovative financial solutions, and strategic philanthropy. The Risk Management and Operations AVP will support development, oversight and maintenance of a best-in-class Risk Management and Operations framework and execution across the function.
Key Responsibilities:
Support oversight of CID risk management and operations practices
Build a knowledge base on Citi risk requirements and best practices and support dissemination across the CID function
Supports management and assists in ensuring adherence of Citi Risk and Controls programs for the CID department such as MCA, COB, Third Party Management, Annual Risk Assessments, Information Security, Records Management, etc.
Support timely execution of the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) program, including the monitoring and testing of key controls as necessary, and documentation and tracking of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) resulting from internal audit efforts and processes reviews
Participate in cross-functional risk reviews for CID business units, coordinate follow-up items as needed and assist in identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiency opportunities
Liaise with senior staff across CID to analyze, document, and escalate any risk-related concerns or issues to Operations and Finance senior management, as appropriate
Support the coordination of internal and external audits and support business issues and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)
Works issues/projects as assigned to support improvements and assist in other aspects of Risk Management and Operations as necessary
Qualifications:
2+ years of related work experience
Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
Highly proficient in Excel and ability to gain a strong command of new systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a team player, take direction, and have a keen ability to prioritize
Must be detail oriented and organized
Good customer service skills
